The rules about Parliamentary elections mean that we will have a
General Election
this year. The rules about local councils mean that we'll also have elections
for the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
As Webmaster, I think one of my duties is to do my best to put material about both
of these elections on this Website. I can't promise it will always be bang up
to date, or that it will be complete, but those are my aims, subject to other claims
on my time.
First the General Election...
An obvious question is what our party stands for. There are already two
things on the site about that:
The
preamble to our Party's Constitution - and you can see the essence of it
at the top right of every page on this site.
Another is a document called, A Party of
Principle, which sets out a concise summary of where we've come from and where
we are now.
I'll add other links as they become available.
The local elections...
Our current first priority is the road traffic situation in the town. Look
here
to see what we think.
We also want more devolution of powers from Bradford to Keighley.
Finally, relevant to all elections this year, you should know that
our leader, Nick Clegg, will be holding a meeting in Bradford this Thursday, 21/1/2010.
If you'd like to go, you should apply for a ticket
here.
